Last night’s Induction Session for the All Girls Cricket Team was an overwhelming success, with girls and their families turning up in force to support the Yarrawonga Mulwala Cricket Club’s entry into the U13s Girls Competition in the Wangaratta & District Cricket Association.
It was agreed that the girls will train each Friday at the Victoria Park Nets starting at 5:00pm.
The club has communicated to the W&DCA the that “the Lakers” will be fielding a team, possibly two, in the new U13s all girls competition against Beechworth, Benalla and two Wangaratta based teams.
After the Induction Session the girls had a net session and went through the basics of batting. There were some outstanding hitting with great enthusiasm and the positivity was through the roof.
Really excited and looking forward to even more girls joining the group at training on Friday nights.
Girls are encouraged to bring their friends along.
