Yarrawonga Mulwala CC have been working behind the scenes to ensure a Under 13s All Girls Cricket League becomes a Fixture in the Wangaratta & District Cricket Association. The Lakers are pleased to announce that the YMCC will be fielding a team in the weekly 2023-2024 competition.
The Lakers are looking for girls aged 9yo-14yo to play cricket against teams from Beechworth, Benalla and Wangaratta in the coming season. This is exciting news as this will be the first female cricket team that the clubs fields in a regular competition.
We are calling on girls interested in playing competitive cricket and their parents to join us at an Induction Meeting and Training Session to find out more.

“This is a truly historic day for the club”, YMCC President Glenn Brear stated. “To give local girls the opportunity to represent our community against other towns really completes us as a club. I look forward to our first game and seeing these girls take their first steps on a hopefully long and successful cricket career.”

The club will be sending invitations to all girls in this age group who have been involved in our previous Woolworths Cricket Blast (WWCB) program, but we encourage these girls to bring their friends along and will welcome all girls wanting to play cricket.
